A newly created non-profit, the Arizona Institute for Digital Progress, had all of the elements for success. An experienced and passionate executive director, a compelling mission to advance the adoption of innovative technology to solve regional government issues, and a partnership with a state university.
What the AZ IDP lacked was critical visibility to the governor’s administration and key state officials, as well as a process to get projects off the ground. We worked hand-in-hand with the AZ IDP to open the right doors and help put together a framework for a regional acquisition model.
Traversant Group embarked on a focused strategy to highlight the AZ IDP’s mission with state elected officials with a technology interest, the governor’s office, and agency stakeholders, like the State CIO. Leveraging our industry relationships, we also introduced the AZ IDP to business executives to increase interest and expand partnership opportunities.
That was the easy part – the procurement strategy required research and analysis to find how best to coordinate the procurement regulations of 22 cities and towns, a county and the state.
“Traversant Group’s focus and flawless implementation of procurement strategies is second to none. They were critical in our efforts to build the Greater Phoenix Smart Region Consortium by coming up with innovative approaches to keep our project moving forward, working tirelessly to solve the Consortium’s challenges, and creating new opportunities for our government, industry, and university partners. Traversant Group’s reputation as the state’s top thought leader in government sales strategy is unquestioned”
Traversant Group was able to help expand the AZ IDP’s footprint with state officials and industry leaders, including the creation of the Smart State Initiatives unit at the Arizona Commerce Authority. The AZ IDP also has a framework for a regional model to test and deploy emerging technologies. We are excited to be a part of the AZ IDP’s continued success!
