We are so pleased to announce that Elizabeth Bartholomew is now part of Traversant Group, joining us as a Senior Consultant. Coming from her most recent post as the Chief Legislative Liaison at the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), she brings rich experience, a keen eye for detail and many other strengths to our team. To help you get acquainted with her, here’s a quick Q&A with Elizabeth.
1. Why did you want to join Traversant Group?
Traversant Group has an exceptional reputation and I have always admired the working relationship they have with their clients, as well as government agencies.
2. What were you responsible for in your most recent roles?
My main duty as the Chief Legislative Liaison at ADOA was to track any and all bills that would impact the department, whether positively or negatively. I was also entrusted with furthering ADOA’s mission through legislative changes and building strong relationships with the legislature. In all my work, I aimed to educate those within my agency of the legislative process and legislative decorum when we had to go before the legislature.
3. What will your role as Senior Consultant with Traversant Group entail?
I will be responsible for monitoring legislation that may impact our clients, as well as opening doors and keeping them apprised of opportunities to work with the government. I’ll also help educate them about the many processes within government to ensure they get the proper approvals and go through the necessary steps to be successful.
4. What are you most looking forward to in this new position?
I have 10 years of experience working in different government positions and really love sharing my knowledge with others. I’m excited to use all I’ve learned to educate clients and peers who are not familiar with government processes. I’m also eager to draw on the strong relationships I’ve built with state agency employees and different government entities as well as the staff and elected officials at the legislature to serve our clients and help them achieve their goals.
5. Could you tell us a little more about who you are, and what brings you joy?
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in political science (Bear Down!). I’ve been interested in politics and history since a young age, so I feel very lucky that I get to work in a field that I’m passionate about. My fiance Ryan and I love to travel and go camping and hiking with our golden retriever, Nola. I also love cooking and trying out new recipes.
As you can see, Elizabeth is highly accomplished and will be a wonderful asset to our team and our clients. Please give her a warm welcome when you meet her and contact us with any questions or to set up a consultation.
