Ted Vogt Joins Traversant Group as VP of Government & Regulatory Affairs

Vogt brings decades of public & private sector experience to the firm & its fast-growth technology clients

(PHOENIX – Aug. X, 2023) — Traversant Group, Arizona’s leading strategic sales and government relations firm, today announced that Ted Vogt has joined the company as vice president of government & regulatory affairs. In this role, he will lead legislative and policy initiatives, as well as assist clients in meeting the right decision-makers at state agencies.

Vogt most recently served as director of the Arizona Department of Gaming under former Governor Doug Ducey. He previously served as executive director of the Arizona Corporation Commission; interim director of Arizona State Parks; and chief of operations for Governor Ducey. Prior to joining the Ducey administration, Vogt was appointed by his predecessor Governor Jan Brewer as director of the Department of Veterans Services.

“I see my role at Traversant Group as a continuation of what I’ve championed throughout my career in state government: helping the public sector become more efficient, effective and responsive to its customers–citizens, stakeholders and other agencies–by working with the private sector to solve problems and deliver services,” said Vogt. “Now, I’ll be on the other side of the table helping our clients explain how they can help solve those challenges facing government. I’m thrilled to be working with Jenn and this exceptional team, and look forward to helping our clients expand their influence.”

As vice president of government & regulatory affairs with Traversant Group, Vogt will assist with furthering the firm’s growth within Arizona, as well as expanding into surrounding states. His role will also focus on tracking and advising on key legislative and policy issues, along with connecting clients and key decision-makers at state agencies. By helping technology companies better understand the challenges that state agencies are facing, Vogt will guide them in demonstrating their value.

“Few people have as extensive of a career as Ted, and we’re incredibly fortunate to draw on his experience once again,” says Jennifer Woods, president of Traversant Group. “Ted was an invaluable part of our team back in 2016, and has since gained even more knowledge of government, and formed even more relationships with officials. The depth and breadth of his expertise is going to quickly and powerfully accelerate the results we achieve for our clients.”
