What We’ve Been Up To In January & February

We just flipped the calendar to the month of March, and we can’t believe it either. Time has been flying as usual, perhaps even more so because of the busy pace we’ve kept. To keep you in the loop of all we’ve been up to, here’s a recap.

Expanding Our Team & Network

In January, we welcomed Elizabeth Bartholomew on board as a Senior Consultant, and couldn’t be happier about how well she’s assimilated into our team. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting her, here’s more about Elizabeth and the rich career experience she has from her time as the Chief Legislative Liaison at ADOA and in other areas of public service.

Also in January, Traversant Group became a Premier Member of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. We are thrilled about this, and looking forward to making the most of all the connections, events and resources the Chamber has to offer.

Speaking & Educating

Jennifer Woods, our founder & president, was recently asked to speak on a national client sales call. She used the opportunity to share her insights into a topic about which she’s very passionate: reframing the way we all approach our work. Check out our blog post that goes more in-depth into Jenn’s point of view about how tapping into your “why” can elevate your work and your outcomes.

In other news, you may have heard that we brought back our “TG Talks” series. In January, our TG Talk was with Arizona State Representative Matt Gress, who spoke with us about his legislative priorities. Last month, we hosted ADOHS Deputy Director and Deputy State CISO Ryan Murray as our TG Talk speaker. Both were extremely valuable! These events offer our clients an excellent way to hear important insights from our state leaders firsthand, and stay apprised of issues that may impact them.

Bolstering Our Clients & Leaders

With a new governor in office, and the legislative session underway, it has been quite a whirlwind for our team. As always, our focus has been on keeping up with key developments for our clients and helping them reach their goals.

In addition to serving our clients, we love to serve the community. As such, our team attended the Phoenix Police Foundation’s “Leadership In Law Enforcement” breakfast to support their great work. The event featured leaders from across the law enforcement spectrum, who discussed public service, current challenges & opportunities and the importance of partnerships. We learned a lot and felt especially inspired by all the work we can do in the community to make real change.

What’s Next

In March, we will be hosting the next event for the Arizona Women in Technology (AZWIT) association we founded in late 2022. If you’re a female leader in the local tech and government space, keep an eye out for these details. We’d love to have you join this strong group of women.

We’re looking forward to wrapping up Q1 of 2023 after this coming month, and to seeing what else the rest of the legislative session has in store for us all.

Please reach out at any time if you’re looking to achieve extraordinary outcomes and would like a partner to help you get there.
